ABOUT US

We are the pioneers of the errand running industry, the first and original!

Longtime, successful errand runners run the American Errand Runner's Organization. We are not like the imitators who have only "researched" the business and written a generalized manual. We have actual, ongoing experience in the areas where you have questions. We help you to run a successful errand service by answering your specific questions, and we do that from experience, not generalization. Our founders have been in the errand running business for many years, long before it became the hot home-based business it is today.

DENISE VAN ZANT - President

A successful errand runner herself, Denise Van Zant, started her errand running service in 1997. Since then, her business has grown from a one-person operation with a desk in the bedroom to a 4-person success, with a dedicated home based office. For 8 years prior to owning her own business, Denise worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant in sales and marketing. Television advertising, newspapers, press releases, networking and consulting with package designers were some of the major responsibilities Denise handled. Additionally, she managed schedules, travel plans, organizing, sales meetings, event planning, and dealing with many of her superior's personal lives. As a valuable member of the marketing team, Denise implemented many projects that proved successful, such as writing press releases, obtaining media attention, organizing production for infomercials, scheduling airtime and organizing seminars. Denise established sound relationships with vendors, attorneys, graphic artists, writers, reporters, editors, and various others, which not only smoothed the way for excellent partnerships, but also won her the title of "Marketing Maven" among her peers and turned her into the Errandinfo.com marketing expert.

The desire to help people and have a more personally fulfilling life, led Denise to starting Chores-N-More, a Los Angeles based errand running service. The Chores-N-More motto, "We handle the menial, so you can handle the meaningful" is one that holds great meaning to Denise. "My job is to make my clients lives easier. Any little extras I can do for my clients is always one of the first things I keep in mind. Everything I do for them is to make life easier for them, even if it is not easier for me. And at the end of the day when I see the smiles on their faces and the stress diminished, it is well worth it."

Denise has been hired for jobs that run from one extreme to another. She has been hired to be a tour guide for a family from Egypt for 2 full weeks, including taking them to Disneyland. Another client who needed a shopping companion hired Chores-N-More for a weekly shopping trip to Rodeo Drive. Some of the other fun jobs have been working as a day assistant to directors and producers on TV and film shoots, along with researching and shopping for expensive and exotic gifts. The usual day consists of more ordinary jobs, such as grocery shopping, errand running, house/pet sitting and organizing jobs, which Denise finds "equally satisfying".

ANNE BENTLEY - Vice President

Also a successful errand runner, Anne has been in the errand running business since 1999. Like Denise, Anne wanted a more personally satisfying career. While working as a controller for a custom home-builder Anne noticed that new homeowners needed help with all kinds of tasks, from waiting for the cable guy to finding out which vet was best for their precious pooch. She decided to make a full-time business of helping people who were new to Dallas and The Runaround has branched out to include errand services for newcomers and natives alike.

With a new baby, Anne's job is even more challenging. Even though The Runaround has become a part-time business it has continued to flourish. Anne maintains part of her old client base and takes on housesitting and petsitting jobs as well and has started taking on more home-based assignments, such as computer work and correspondence. She plans to return to errand running full-time when her kids are older. Until then, Anne's experience in accounting and taxes is put to use at ErrandInfo.com where she regularly fields questions on those subjects. Anne also designed and maintains the ErrandInfo.com website and designs websites for members who are interested in putting up a site but don't know where to start. "The evolution of my business has been great," Anne says. "Being able to have a productive career, help people keep their lives in order and stay home to watch my child grow up is wonderful and I wouldn't trade my present situation for anything!"

In addition to Denise and Anne, the A.E.R.O. family consists of many expert consultants on subjects ranging from marketing, writing, insurance, mailing lists, etc. So if you have a question on any specific topic, one of our experts will be able to help you out.
