Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the short term and yearly membership?

Short Term Membership
Duration: 2 months
Cost: $40
  1. Since it is only for a short amount of time, your access to the site is limited. The ErrandInfo.com site is ongoing and always being updated.
  2. One-on-one, online chat with an established errand runner is included with short-term membership, to answer any of your additional questions...or just for a little encouragement!
  3. It's a great way to get a lot of info if you're on a really tight budget or just checking out your options.
Yearly Membership
Duration: 1 year
Cost: $100
  1. A whole year of access to the site, allowing you to keep up on all of the updates and all of the latest errand running info, such as "News You Can Use" area of the site, which is updated regularly
  2. A listing on our referral page, with a link to your email address and web site (if you have one). Many national concierge companies contact us throughout the year looking for independent errand runners to represent them in cities around the country. Also, individuals and corporations have contacted our members through our referrals from the referral page and through e-mails directly to us.
  3. Ongoing networking with your fellow members.
  4. Your own PR department! We are constantly working on our PR and ErrandInfo.com has been in many, many newspapers and magazines across the country. And when ErrandInfo.com gets press, so do you!
  5. Membership in a national organization.
  6. A full year's worth of personal help from us. You can e-mail us anytime during your membership with your questions!
What do I get out of a membership that I can't just read in a book?
  1. Your yearly membership is ongoing and interactive. Not only is all of the information contained in this web site, written by current and successful errand service operators, but it is directed specifically towards starting an errand service and keeping it a success.
  2. You can't ask a book specific questions.
  3. This is the latest information, as of TODAY, not a year or two ago.
  4. Referrals, referrals, referrals!
  5. Networking with working errand runners.
  6. It's the only web site of it's kind (that we know of), that's directed specifically at the errand running/personal assistant services.
I don't think I can afford a membership. Can't I just buy a book?
Although we do recommend several excellent books, you couldn't possibly get all of the benefits of a membership from a book. You can't ask a book questions on topics that it doesn't cover. You can't email a book to find out how other errand services have handled sticky situations with clients. The start up costs of an errand running service is one of the lowest that we know of. Even a yearly membership is a small price to pay for so much of the info you need to start your business. If you are on a very tight budget and can't afford a yearly membership, a short term membership can help answer many of your questions, to get you started!
